UGANDA IN THE 3RD POSITION AT ITB.

Morocco emerged be the best among African the African countries while at International Travel Bureau for this in Berlin for year 2012. According to the Judges, this was obviously expected when we look at the number of votes that were caste for the different the countries which participated in this travel exhibition and counted; this was followed by last year’s best performer which was Burundi that took over Rwanda which has always been the best in the past fours years. Uganda as a tourist destination and participant was able to take the third position in the 2012 ITB after gaining strength of being in listed by the lonely planet as the 2012’s too tourist destination in the world and a must visit country for tourism satisfaction with mountain gorillas and wildlife safaris as the leading tourist activities in Uganda, Uganda was followed by Rwanda in 4th then Kenya took the 5th position.
The Minister of Tourism Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu together with the General Manager Cuthbert Baguma Uganda Tourist Board (UTB) Cuthbert Baguma led the group that participated at ITB, however there were other tourism stakeholders who joined the group in Berlin with the aim of marketing Uganda and what it has to offer to tourists among these included Uganda tour operators and safari lodge owners operation business in Uganda.
Uganda is know waiting for the celebration of its 50th anniversary of Independence from Britain on 9th November it is on this day that Uganda as a tourist country will have the opportunity to expose its tourist potentials like Uganda National parks, Uganda safaris and the must visit attractions like the mountain gorilla safaris, Queen Elizabeth tree climbing lion safari park, Murchison falls wildlife safari and other places of interest to tourists.
