Tour Itinerary:

Day One: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park

In the morning, you will set off for Murchison falls National Park, making a stop at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to see the rhinos. Have lunch in Masindi town, and continue to Murchison Falls where at a height of 43 meters you will view the thunderous waters of the Nile blasting against the rocks and collapsing in a spectacular fall. Game drive in the evening, dine and sleep at either Paraa Safari Lodge or Red Chilli.

Day Two: Game drive / boat ride on the Victoria Nile.

Before day break you will go for an early game drive to see the early indolently grazing buffalos, elephants, Uganda kobs, giraffes, hartebeests, hyenas and hunting lionesses and leopards returning from their night hunt.  After lunch have a boat cruise to the base of the falls on the Victoria Nile, were you will sight elephants, hippos, buffalos, crocodiles and so many birds such as the Kingfishers.  Dine and slumber at Red Chilli or Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day Three: Transfer to Kibale National Park.

After breakfast set out on a 6 hours drive to Kibale National Park in Fort Portal; driving past the overlapping hills with beautifully terraced farms and homesteads. On arriving in Fort Portal you will have a short tour in this town that lies in the shadow of the Mountains of the moon – Mountain Rwenzori.
Dine and sleep at Mountains of the moon or Primates Lodge or Ndali Lodge.

Day Four: Chimpanzee tracking / Transfer to Queen Elizabeth

Today after breakfast you will go to Kibale National Park head office for a briefing before proceeding in the wild for a chimpanzee tracking. You will trek across the park guided by rangers who will not only detail you about the Chimpanzee’s lifestyle but also the flora and fauna of the vegetation.  You will be chanced to observe the way these chimpanzees care for their young, feed and move. You will then drive to the bottom of Mountain Rwenzori into Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Dine and sleep at the luxurious Mweya Safari Lodge or Mweya Institute of ecology.

Day Five: Wildlife Queen Elizabeth National Park / Boat Ride. 

Before 6:00 am, you will have breakfast and then embark on an early game drive in the park. Return to the lodge for a hearty lunch before setting out on an exciting boat ride on the Kazinga Channel which joins both Lake George and Edward. Here you will have a stunning experience viewing of over 500 different species of birds grazing on the shore, buffalos dallying in the shallow waters and hippos puff and spew just meters away from your boat. Dinner and slumber at the cozy Mweya Safari Lodge alternatively at Mweya Institute of ecology

Day Six: Game drive / Drive to Bwindi Gorilla Park.

Before day break you will start out on an enjoyable game drive looking out for the early indolently grazing buffalos, stripped jackals, elephants, Uganda kobs, giraffes, hyenas and hunting predators  returning from their night hunt such as lions, leopards. Then drive through the Ishasha zone of the park as you head to Bwindi Gorilla Park for and arrive in the evening. In Ishasha you will see the unique tree climbing lions.

You will dine and sleep at Buhoma community Bandas  or Gorilla resort.

Day Seven: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast you will have a briefing by the rangers in preparation for a long close to 9 hours tracking through the impenetrable forest, looking for the primates. This tedious and long trek will pay off well because you will be able to come face to face with these Gorillas and discover more about their feeding habits, how they cater for their young and understand their moving patterns.  You will then precede to Lake Bunyonyi Kabale for diner and either Kyahugye Island Resort or Budget Bushara Island cottages for the night.

Day eight: Drive to Kampala

After breakfast drive back to Kampala, Uganda’s capital. Have lunch in one of the towns on your way back.  Stop at the Equator for some photographs, and later arrive in Kampala in the evening
