5 Day Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park Wildlife along with Chimpanzee Tracking

Day One Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; Have an early morning breakfast and drive off to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. A 4 wheel safari vehicle along with an English speaking driver will make the journey interesting. He will explain to you many features that you will see in the countryside along the way. The vehicle can be stopped at any time just in case you see something amazing worth taking pictures. Have lunch in Mbarara and drive to Kabale, it’s so hilly and you will love its scenery. Proceed to Bwindi and we get there late afternoon. Check in to your desired lodge, these are quite many around the park ranging from up market, moderate as well as budget. Some of these include Buhoma Community Rest Camp, Gorilla Resort, Buhoma Lodge, Gorilla Forest Camp, Mahogany Springs Lodge and many others. They are strategically located with a wonderful view overlooking the Impenetrable Forest.Depedning on where the gorillas will locate that night; they pay the lodge a visit in the evening. This is amazing and breathtaking to all visitors that have got the chance to see them around the vicinity of the lodges. Enjoy the night by the sounds of the forest and birds.

Day Two: Adventure with the Mountain Gorillas; Wake up early morning and have breakfast. Proceed to the park’s Headquarters for an orientation and meeting the Ranger guide. You will be split into groups depending on the one assigned to you. Tracking takes a few hours and if not a whole day but all this is thrilling as you see other primates, birds, flora and Fauna along the way. Hiking is such a mysterious move that will actually raise hopes until you meet the great Mountain Gorillas. Some level of fitness is required because you will climb steep mountains as you search for the gorillas. Just in case you get tired, they are porters to carry you at a fee. Coming face to face with the Mountain Gorillas will be a dream come true. You will see them do their daily routine work, playing, resting and the mothers feeding their young ones, you are free to take pictures as long as your camera has no flash. You will enjoy this precious moment with them and the experience will be worth the cost and time.
Depending on your energy levels and time, you may proceed for a village walk to see the Batwa people. These are the pygmies that live in the forest of Bwindi.You will visit the women handcraft shop, traditional healer, community school and how they prepare their local brew. If you have time, you will tell you stories and still entertain you with their cultural dance and sing as a way of thanking you for visiting them. This will conclude your adventurous day in Bwindi.Return to your lodge for dinner and rest.
Day Three Queen Elizabeth National Park: A lovely breakfast and set off to Queen Elizabeth National Park, we shall drive through the Ishasha region and get a chance to see the tree climbing lions, the vehicle will stop to enable you take pictures and have a clear view of the lion and its cubes. You may decide to lodge within or outside the park and the best option will be Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp that is luxury and has a wonderful view overlooking the river. Other lodges include Katara lodge, Kyambura game lodge, Kingfisher lodge, Enganzi lodge and Bush lodge. Animals sometimes roam around the lodge’s vicinity and you will get a chance to see them when dinning. Have lunch and rest.
The park has lots of wildlife like buffaloes, leopards, antelopes, elephants, lions, monkeys, hyenas and many others. It’s the best spot to visit for wildlife in Uganda. Visiting the shadows of the Rwenzoria Mountains will give you a chance to see many of these along with different bird species. The evening is set to see many of these and you are escorted by a guide. Return to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day Four: Have an early morning breakfast and get ready for the second game drive. Morning is the best time to see animals retiring to go to sleep and others rising up to go look for food. The most amazing are the warthogs that you will see running around the park, Raptors flying over the green savannah, Elephants hulking with their young ones, lions with their cubes, solitary buffaloes,antelopes,Impalas,Ugandan Kob,Leopard and bird species.
Return to your lodge for Lunch and Rest as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Make sure your camera is fully charged because you would not want to miss out anything on the cruise. As you set off, you will see many hippos thrashing the water, crocodiles basking in the sun, elephants and buffaloes coming for water, different bird species flying all over and other animals seen at a distance as the boat moves at a slow pace to enable you get a closer view of these breathtaking animals. The experience is awesome as you enjoy your ride back to your lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 5 Kyambura Gorge: An early morning breakfast and proceed to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking. Your guide will take you to the best spot where you will find the chimpanzees. You will still see other primates and bird species and depending on time, you may go visit the Maramagamba forest and see the bat caves. Return to your lodge for lunch and continue to Kampala. You may stop at the Equator and take some pictures. Visit the craft shops and buy souvenirs that will remind of the wonderful time you had in Uganda. We arrive in Kampala late afternoon and check in to your hotel and if you have a flights that day your proceed to the airport Entebbe. You may visit the vibrant nightlife in Kampala, where the party never stops. You will drink and dance until you get tired. Music of all kind is played to make your stay exciting as you meet the friendly Ugandans. Our guide will be waiting to drive you off to your lodge and rest.
