Murchison Wildlife Tour & Rhino tracking 3 days
(Uganda wildlife safari to Murchison falls and Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary)
This is a 3 days Uganda Safari involving rhino tracking and a wildlife safari. The safari will include a boat trip, a hike to the top of the falls, a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and game drives.
It will begin and end in Kampala, taking you through Uganda’s Largest National Park – Murchison Falls National Park. The park was named after the spectacular 43 meters high Murchison Falls that were formed due to an outburst of water from world’s longest river rising through a 7 meter gorge into the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. This river that flows through the park has attracted hundreds of different species of animals and birds to the park, thus making it an ideal platform for wildlife safari.
Dominating the vegetation in the northern region of the park is the flourishing borassus grassland, which has attracted various animals like buffalos, giraffes, different types of antelopes and elephants. South of the park is the Rabongo Forest a renowned sanctuary for primates such as chimpanzees and many more rain forest monkeys. The flowing Nile is a haven of Africa’s largest crocodile and hippopotami population, and a variety of stunning water birds like the rare shoebill stork.
